Memory Box

When me and [personal profile] cosmolinguist got back from the gym, we all looked through the box we got from the cremation service. Gary was such a little guy that all his ashes fit in the ornament we ordered for them.

That ornament, along with the ink paw prints we asked them to take, are now in a memory box in the living room with his spotty blanket, his harness and lead. The box has photos of him and other mementos surrounding it. It's at a good height to be seen from anywhere in the room, just next to [personal profile] mother_bones' chair.

I cried a lot holding his ornament and we shared more memories, good and bad, of our little butthead. It's good that we've all got each other to lean on. Literally in this case as well as emotionally.

That seems like a very nice way to remember him <3

The three of you are a good combo - so much love and kindness

Sounds like a good act of remembrance now and for future ongoing.
