Blood Donation
Damnit, I've just been told that my heart surgery nearly a decade ago disqualifies me from donating blood. Even though I'm not on any related medication, or experiencing any symptoms.
That's a shame, I'd already booked an appointment and was looking forward to donating.

They definitely don't want anyone who may have received blood or blood products or anything implanty (or suspicion thereof) just in case.
Glad your heart is functioning well since tho, heart surgery developments are one of the COOLEST things in medicine in the last 100+ years!

Yeah, I definitely didn't have infusions during my heart surgery, it was all very keyhole etc.
And yes the surgery was cool and fascinating!
